1. Conditions
You must meet all of these during your first 12 months, counted from the date your first payment is taken (the “guarantee period”).
1.1 Onboarding. Attend your onboarding call within 30 days of your first payment. If Fundin reschedules, the deadline moves by the same delay.
1.2 Support calls. Attend at least 50% of the 1:1 calls with a Fundin bid writer offered to you, such as monthly strategy calls. Calls Fundin cancels don’t count. Calls you rearrange with 24 hours’ notice and then attend count as attended.
1.3 Applications. Submit at least 20 applications, with at least one in each calendar month. Each must be:
- to a grant Fundin rates as a strong match for the linked campaign when you submit;
- scored 80/100 or above in Fundin’s AI review before submission;
- a genuine, complete application in your organisation’s name, to a grant whose eligibility criteria you meet, that the funder accepts for consideration; and
- not withdrawn before the funder’s decision.
Resubmitting the same bid to the same fund in the same round counts once.
1.4 Subscription. Stay continuously subscribed to a paid Fundin plan. Cancelling or pausing ends your eligibility. Moving between paid plans does not affect it. A failed payment not made within 14 days of our reminder counts as cancelling.
1.5 Decisions. Log every funder decision in Fundin within 30 days of receiving it.
2. Claiming
2.1 Email tom@blog.fundin.ai within the 30 days after your guarantee period ends, confirming you haven’t secured a grant. Late claims are not valid.
2.2 We’ll check your record against section 1 and reply within 30 days. We may ask for evidence, such as funders’ confirmations of receipt, so keep them.
2.3 Free period. If your record meets the conditions, we’ll continue your plan free of charge for 3 months from the date we confirm your claim. During this time you must keep meeting clauses 1.2 and 1.5, and submit at least one application a month that meets clause 1.3.
2.4 If any application is still awaiting a decision when the free period ends, your free access continues until every application has a decision, for up to 3 more months. You don’t need to submit further applications in this time.
2.5 An application with no decision by the later of 3 months after the funder’s published decision date or 6 months after submission counts as declined.
2.6 What counts as securing a grant. A written offer or award of a non-repayable cash grant, of any value, from any funder, whether or not you applied through Fundin. An offer counts even if you decline it. Loans, in-kind support, sponsorship and individual donations don’t count. If you secure a grant during the free period, or before all decisions are in, the guarantee is met and no refund is due.
3. The refund
3.1 The refund is the subscription fees you paid for your plan during the guarantee period, after discounts and credits, excluding VAT. It does not cover other Fundin products, add-ons or any other costs.
3.2 Once the free period has ended and every application has a decision, with no grant secured, we’ll pay the refund within 60 days, to the original payment method or a UK bank account in your organisation’s name. Your subscription then ends.
3.3 We may offer you additional free support instead of the refund, such as a longer period of free access or a temporary upgrade in service. This is optional, and you can always choose the refund instead.
4. General
4.1 Who can claim. UK-based not-for-profit organisations eligible to apply for grants. One guarantee per organisation; linked organisations count as one.
4.2 Disqualification. We may refuse a claim, or reclaim a refund, if you give false information to us or a funder, submit applications that aren’t genuine attempts to win funding, or don’t tell us about a grant you’ve secured.
4.3 No promised outcome. Funders make funding decisions, not Fundin. The refund is your only remedy for not securing a grant.
4.4 Platform issues. If a Fundin outage or error stops you meeting a condition, tell us within 7 days and we’ll extend the deadline fairly.
4.5 Changes. We may change or withdraw the guarantee for new subscribers, but not in a way that disadvantages organisations already enrolled.
4.6 Legal. These terms form part of Fundin’s Terms of Service and take priority where the two conflict on the guarantee. They don’t affect your legal rights. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.
